Kotah in 1879, to the southeast of Bundi

This specimen was lot 2507 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $105. The catalog description[1] noted, "KOTAH: Umed Singh, 1889-1935, AR rupee 11.23 g, Nandgaon, VS1956, special issue for the 10th anniversary of Umed Singh and the 80th birthday of Queen Victoria, bold VF, R." This tiny state was a neighbor of Bundi and Jhalawar. The maharao also issued a nazarana rupee (KM Y7a) and an eighth mohur (KM YA8a) on this occasion.
