Kiangsu-Kiangsoo Province is located on the east coast of China. Modern mint equipment was installed in the Soochow mint in 1898, and another mint was opened in 1904. Both mints ceased production in 1906.

The specimen shown was lot 60351 in Ponterio sale 162 (Hong Kong, August 2011), where it sold for $2689. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. Kiangsu-Kiangsoo. 20 Cash Pattern, CD (1906). “蘇”字戶部大清銅幣當制錢二十文樣幣。Pattern in copper. 紅銅樣。NGC VF Details--Environmental Damage."
