This type was struck by the municipal mint of Kampen 1659-64. The municipal mints' habit of coining to short weight and short alloy infuriated the Estates General, which spent most of the seventeenth century on a campaign to close them all.
Recorded mintage: 128,518 for 1659-63.
Specification: 32.78 g, 0.941 fine silver.
