This specimen was lot 47653 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. Junagadh. Kori, AH 1292/VS 1932 (1875/6). Mahabat Khan III (under Victoria as Empress). PCGS MS-62. " The SCWC incorrectly attributes this issue to Mahabat Khan III, who did not ascend the throne until 1911, well after this appearance of this type, struck AH 1292-1299/VS 1932-1938. Koris were also struck in gold. Junagadh is in western India near Nawanagar and Kutch.
