This specimen was part of lot 31023 in Heritage sale 3081 (New York, January 2020), which sold for $7,200. The catalog description[1] noted, "Jordan: Hussein Ibn Talal 7-Piece gold & silver Proof Set AH 1389 (1969), 1) 1/2 Dinar, KM 21; 2) 3/4 Dinar, KM 22; 3) Dinar, KM 23; 4) gold 2 Dinars, KM 24; 5) gold 5 Dinars, KM 25; 6) gold 10 Dinars, KM 26; 7) gold 25 Dinars, KM 27; KM-PS3. A very rare set, especially including the huge 25 Dinar piece. All appealing Proofs with pristine cameo contrasts. Accompanied by its original red leather box of issue. Total AGW 3.3590 oz." This NCLT is from a gold and silver set honoring various sites in Jordan issued on the occasion of a visit by pope Paul VI.
