This specimen was lot 3613 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $50. The catalog description[1] noted, "JAPAN: Taisho, 1912-1926, AE sen, year 4 (1915), a lovely example, PCGS graded MS63 BN." This type was struck 1913-15 at the beginning of the Taisho era and was the last large cent. The succeeding type, KM Y42, was reduced to 3.75 g.
