Sincona sale 101, lot 3022

This specimen was lot 3022 in Sincona Auction 101 (Zürich, October 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "JAPAN Mutsuhito (Meiji), 1867-1912. 50 Sen Jahr 40 (1907), Osaka. NGC MS64. Feine Patina, Nicely toned." This type was struck 1906-12 and no date is rare. This module, reduced from 13.48 g, was used until 1917.

Recorded mintage: 24,062,952.

Specification: 10.10 g, 0.800 fine silver, 27.27 mm diameter.
