This specimen was lot 23141 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Las Vegas, August 2020), where it sold for $75. The catalog description[1] noted, "IVORY COAST. 10 Franc, 1966. PCGS PROOF-65 Deep Cameo Gold Shield. A brilliant proof with frosted devices, mirrored fields, and unusual blue/green to purple toning that outlines devices and legends on both sides." The coinage of the African country of Ivory Coast is scanty, comprising one silver coin and four gold coins, all dated 1966. The country uses the CFA franc for its ordinary transactions.

Recorded mintage: unknown but not common.

Specification: 25 g, 0.925 fine silver, 35 mm diameter.
