This specimen was lot 3765 in Goldberg sale 70 (Los Angeles, September 2012), where it sold for $891.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Italy. 100 Lire, 1932-R. Year X. Vittorio Emanuele III, 1900-1946. Head left. Reverse: Female on prow. NGC graded MS-64." The last hundred lire of the old weight (32.25 g) was struck in 1925 (KM 66); this standard was used 1931-36 before being reduced further to 5.19 g in 1937. Altho not cheap, this type and the accompanying fifty lire are the most available gold coins of the fascist regime.

Specification: 6.79 g, 0.900 fine gold, .254 troy oz AGW; 8.8 g, 0.900 fine gold, 23.5 mm diameter, reeded edge[2].
