from the Stack's Bowers 2018 Collector's Choice sale, lot 71120

This specimen was lot 71120 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description^[1] noted, "ITALY. 2 Lire, 1915-R. NGC MS-64. Nicely struck with frosty luster." This type of 1914-17 rounded out the series of silver two lire.

Recorded mintage: 7,948,000.

Specification: 10 g, 0.835 fine silver, 27 mm diameter.
