This specimen was lot 1948 in Goldberg sale 115 (Los Angeles, February 2020), where it sold for $810. The catalog description[1] noted, "Israel. 10 New Sheqalim, 2007. Performing arts. Choice Brilliant Proof." This commemorative is a product of the Utrecht mint. Similar ten sheqalim were struck 2001-2014. Prior to 2001, the denomination was 17.28 g, 0.900 fine gold. Base metal bimetallic ten sheqalim also exist, but they don't seem to have circulated either, being available only in sets. Massive influx of aid from the United States fueled inflation and coinage reforms in 1960, 1980 and 1985.

Specification: 16.96 g, 0.917 fine gold, 0.500 troy oz AGW, 30 mm diameter.
