This specimen was lot 1812 in Goldberg Sale 139 (Los Angeles, June 2024), where it sold for $1,320. The catalog description[1] noted, "Israel. 10 New Sheqalim, 1986. Weight 0.500 ounce. Tribute to the Arts. On the 38th Anniversary of Independence. Choice Brilliant Proof." The coinage was reformed in 1985-86, with 1,000 sheqalim = one new sheqalim.
Recorded mintage: 2,485.
Specification: 17.28 g, 0.900 fine gold, reeded edge, 0.500 troy oz AGW, 30 mm diameter.
