This specimen was lot 1794 in Goldberg sale 106 (Los Angeles, September 2018), where it sold for $230. The catalog description[1] noted, "Israel. 50 Lirot, 1973. For the 25th Anniversary of Independence. Menorah. Proof." This NCLT is accompanied by a silver ten lirot (KM 71), gold hundred lirot (KM 73) and gold 200 lirot (KM 74). Massive influx of aid from the United States fueled inflation and coinage reforms in 1960, 1980 and 1985.

Recorded mintage: 27,724.

Specification: 7 g, 0.900 fine gold, 22 mm diameter, 0.2025 ounce AGW.
