Isle of Man 1975 2 pence

formerly in the Mountain Groan Collection

This two pence was struck at the Royal Mint in 1971 and at the Pobjoy Mint 1972-75. The 1975 bronze issue for the Isle of Man was accompanied by sterling silver and platinum strikes sold to collectors. The Pobjoy Mint, whose NCLT's fill the pages of the SCWC, closed in 2023.

Recorded mintage: 725,000 plus 20,000 in sterling silver plus 600 in platinum.

Specifications: 7.12 g, bronze, 25.91 mm diameter, plain edge.
