This specimen was lot 22379 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), where it sold for $705. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Isenburg. 12 Kreuzer, 1811. NGC MS-63. Sharply struck, nicely toned with strong underlying luster and quite attractive." The prince also struck thalers, ducats, double ducats and 6 kreuzers in 1811, also scarce. A Napoleonic toady, the prince was dispossessed of his lands at the Congress of Vienna.
