This specimen was lot 47711 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN. Afsharid Dynasty. 2 Rupees, AH 1163 (1750/1). Mashhad Mint. Shahrukh. PCGS EF-45. From the Genden Collection." Shahrokh survived the immediate turmoil after Nader's assassination and sat on the throne three times, AH 1161-63, AH 1163-66 and AH 1168-1210. He was finally murdered in 1796 after the Qajar takeover. This issue, called type C in the SCWC, was struck AH 1161-1163.
