India 2003-M 10 rupees KM-319
This specimen was lot 76184 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. 10 Rupees, 2003-M. Mumbai Mint. NGC PROOF-66 Ultra Cameo. To commemorate Maharana Pratap." Wikipedia notes,
"Pratap Singh I (1540-97), popularly known as Maharana Pratap, was king of the Kingdom of Mewar, in north-western India in the present-day state of Rajasthan, from 1572 until his death in 1597. He is notable for leading the Rajput resistance against the expansionist policy of the Mughal Emperor Akbar including the battle of Haldighati."
This design was also used for a one (KM 314) and 100 rupees (KM 320). The proof shown here is marked with an "M" for Mumbai; the circulation issue was stamped with a diamond.
