This specimen was issued by India as part of the F.A.O. series. The Indian government became an enthusiastic supporter of the F.A.O. program and issued many F.A.O. coins in the 1970's. This specimen is from the Bombay mint and promotes the rural electrification.
Recorded mintage: 36,040,000 plus 26,180,000 more from Calcutta.
