This specimen was lot 24064 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (Newport Beach, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $3,840. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. 1/2 Rupee, 1922-(B). Bombay Mint. PCGS MS-65 Gold Shield. Pop: 1; none graded finer by PCGS. A gorgeous, blast white coin, blazing with luster, with a freshly minted look." This half rupee was struck at the Calcutta mint soon after the end of World War One. Specification: 5.83 g, 0.917 fine silver, .172 troy oz ASW.
