This specimen was lot 75092 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $125. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. 1/12 Anna, 1884-(B). Bombay Mint. Victoria. NGC MS-64 Brown. A beautiful near-Gem example, this handsome minor yields bright luster, with a general sharpness and appeal throughout." This type was struck at Calcutta 1877-1901 and at Bombay 1877, 1882-84, 1886-90 only. It is common. The weight was reduced in 1906.
