This specimen was lot 46666 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2024), where it sold for $125. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. 2 Annas, 1882-(B). Bombay Mint. Victoria. PCGS AU-55." This type was struck 1877-1901 in substantial quantities at Bombay and Calcutta. It was the smallest denomination struck in silver. The 1882 is a common date for both mints. The mintmark is a dot below the date.
Recorded mintage: 2,629,000 plus proofs plus 14,360,000 from Calcutta.
Specification: 1.46 g, 0.917 fine silver, 15.7 mm diameter.
