This specimen was lot 24518 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $763.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Hyderabad. Mir Usman Ali Khan gold 1/8 Ashrafi 1360AH Year 31 (1942), MS65 NGC, a choice example with full mint brilliance, very scarce in this certified grade." This tiny coin is listed for AH1337-1368. The Indian princely state of Hyderabad was one of the few large enough and wealthy enough to mint an extensive series of gold coins. Hyderabad merged with India in 1948 and the local coinage ceased.
