This specimen was lot 2767 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $65. The catalog description[1] noted, "HUNGARY: People's Republic, AR 200 forint, 1977, 175th Anniversary of the Hungarian National Museum, in original case of issue, a lovely toned example, Proof." Other 200 forint of 1977 honored painters Ádám Mányoki (KM 610), Tivadar Csontváry Kosztka (KM 611) and József Rippl-Rónai (KM 612). The SCWC does not so state but we suspect the four coins were issued as a set.
Recorded mintage: 25,000 plus 5,000 proofs.
Specification: 28 g, 0.640 fine silver, 37 mm diameter, decorated edge. Engraved by Róbert Csíkszentmihályi and Sándor Tóth.
Catalog reference: KM-613, ÉH-1612, Adamo-EM55.
