This type was struck in Budapest 1926-27, 1937-39 by the Horthy regime. The pengö, introduced to replace the Austro-Hungarian korona, was inflated to nothing in 1945-46 and replaced by the forint.

Recorded mintage: 15,000,000.

Specification: 5 g, 0.640 fine silver, 22.88 mm diameter, decorated edge, designed by József Reményi.
