This specimen was lot 42293 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2024), where it sold for $1,320. The catalog description[1] noted, "HUNGARY. 20 Korona, 1914-KB. Kremnica Mint. Franz Joseph. PCGS MS-65. The sole finest certified by PCGS, this minor is beautifully toned with hues of crimson and cobalt, with the obverse exhibiting attractively watery fields." This specimen was offered again as lot 75215 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $960. This type was struck 1912-14 to the module of a French two francs and this is the scarcest of the three dates. This example realized thirteen times the catalog value.
