This specimen was lot 2967 in Sincona sale 87 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 450 CHF (about US$606 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RDR / ÖSTERREICH, Franz Joseph I. 1848-1916. 4 Forint-10 Francs 1873 KB, Kremnitz. Fast vorzüglich. Leicht berieben. (empire of Austria-Hungary, Francis Joseph I, 1848-1916, four florins or ten francs of 1873, Kremnitz mint. About extremely fine, Slightly polished.)"

This type was issued for Hungary 1870-79 in modest quantities from the Kremnitz (Komoczbanya in Magyar) mint during the reign of Emperor Francis Joseph of Austria-Hungary. The denomination was intended to exchange for ten French francs. After the reorganization of the Hapsburg empire into the Dual Monarchy in 1867, Hungary received her own coinage separate from Austrian issues. In the aftermath of World War One, the Hapsburg monarchy collapsed and Hungary became independent but without its former territories in Slovakia, Transylvania and Croatia.
