Jean Elsen sale 145, lot 1666

This specimen was lot 1666 in Jean Elsen sale 145 (Brussels, September 2020), where it sold for €110 (about US$157 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRABANT, Duché, François II (1792-1797), AR quart de couronne, 1793B, Kremnitz. Type brabançon. D/ T. l. à d. R/ Croix de Bourgogne entre trois couronnes, ornée du bijou de la Toison d'or. Fines traces d'ajustage. Superbe/Fleur de Coin. (duchy of Brabant, Francis II, 1792-97, silver quarter kronenthaler, Kremnitz mint, Brabant type. Obverse: laureate head to right; reverse: Burgundian cross between three crowns, decorated with the jewels of the Order of the Golden Fleece. Fine traces of adjustment marks, Extremely Fine/Uncirculated.)"

This denomination was struck at Vienna ("A"), Kremnitz ("B"), Prague ("C"), Karlsburg ("E") and Nagybanya ("G") 1792-97 and has a low catalog value. The Kremnitz mint was in Hungary.
