This specimen was lot 2227 in Sincona sale 94 (Zürich, October 2024), where it sold for 9,500 CHF (about US$13,167 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR / ÖSTERREICH Ferdinand III. 1637-1657. Dukat 1653 KB, Kremnitz. Münzwardein Georg Hübner. Selten, besonders in dieser Erhaltung. Gutes vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, Ferdinand III, 1637-57, ducat of 1653, Kremnitz mint. Rare, especially in this condition, About Uncirculated.)"
The Kremnitz mint in Hungary struck this type for Ferdinand III of Austria 1638-59 but it is still scarce.
