This specimen was lot 2259 in Künker sale 439 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €2,000 (about US$2,752 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Rudolf II., 1576-1612. Dukat 1590 KB, Kremnitz. GOLD. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, Rudolf II, 1576-1612, ducat of 1590, Kremnitz mint. Very fine to extremely fine.)"

The armored standing figure is not the emperor but of St. Ladislas holding a pike. The Kremnitz mint struck this type 1578-99 and the 1590 is shown as a common date. Hungary in 1590 was still largely dominated by the Turks and the prince of Transylvania.

Recorded mintage: unknown.
