This specimen was lot 31822 in Heritage sale 3067 (Long Beach, September 2018), where it sold for $1,920. The catalog description[1] noted, "Hungary: Rudolf II Goldgulden 1581-HS AU58 Details (Rim Filed) ANACS, Kaschau mint. A very rare mint for this type and certain to draw the attention of specialists in the long-lived series of Hungarian Goldgulden." This type was struck at Kaschau 1579-81. Other mints included Kremnitz, Neustadt, Klausenburg and Hermannstadt.

Specification: 3.50 g, 0.986 fine gold.
