This specimen was lot 1132 in Stacks-Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $822.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "HUNGARY. Goldgulden, ND. Ludwig I (The Great) (1342-82). NGC MS-63. Premium condition. Nice strike with satin luster." The ducats or florins or goldgulden of Hungary are among the more common gold coins of the late middle ages.
