This specimen was lot 75209 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "HONG KONG (SAR). Cent, 1877. London Mint. Victoria. PCGS MS-61 Brown. Variety with 15 pearls in crown." This is a common date of a type struck 1863-81, 1899-1901. In 1877, the queen's crown was modified to show 15 pearls on the left arch instead of 14 pearls; both varieties (KM 4.1 and 4.2) exist for the date.

Recorded mintage: 2,000,000 plus proofs.

Specifications: 7.53 g, bronze, 27.5 mm diameter, plain edge.
