This specimen was lot 1778 in Goldberg sale 112 (Los Angeles, September 2019), where it sold for $630. The catalog description[1] noted, "Honduras. 500 Lempiras, 1992. Bicentenary of the Birth of General Francisco Morazan. NGC graded Proof 69 Ultra Cameo." This commemorative was accompanied by a gold 200 lempiras (KM 86). Morazon is considered the founder of Honduras, as he resisted Guatemalan attempts to join all of Central America into one federation.

Recorded mintage: 1,500.

Specification: 12.5 g, 0.900 fine gold, 26 mm diameter, 0.3617 ounce AGW.
