Sincona sale 33, lot 748

This specimen was lot 748 in Sincona sale 46 (Zürich, May 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"Nederland, Holland, Dukat 1784. Selten. Vorzüglich. (Netherlands, province of Holland, ducat of 1784. Rare, Extremely fine.)"

This type was struck without change 1702-91 and is priced in the SCWC as a common date. Holland was the largest and wealthiest part of the United Provinces, now the kingdom of the Netherlands.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.49 g, 0.986 fine gold, .110 troy oz AGW, this specimen 3.47 g.
