This specimen was lot 1116 in Stephen Album sale 30 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2018), where it sold for $282. The catalog description[1] noted, "HOHENZOLLERN: Friedrich Wilhelm IV, of Prussia, 1849-1861, AE kreuzer, 1852-A, NGC graded MS65 BR." This kreuzer was accompanied by 3 kreuzer, 6 kreuzer, half gulden and gulden, all dated 1852. These were issued by the king of Prussia after the local branch abdicated during the revolutions of 1848.

Recorded mintage: 30,000.
