This specimen was lot 73310 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2023), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Hamburg. Schilling, 1837-HSK. NGC MS-65. A delightful silver minor with ample mint frost and an original skin of champagne, charcoal, and pale green overtone. The sole finest NGC has encapsulated, this "top pop" is ideal for a condition conscious date or type set." This type was also struck in 1840.
