This specimen was lot 209 in Sincona sale 46 (Zürich, May 2018), where it sold for 4,250 CHF (about US$5,100 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Hamburg, Stadt, 2 Dukaten 1773. Titel Josefs II. . Sehr seltener Jahrgang. NGC MS65 PL. (Germany, city of Hamburg, double ducat of 1773, struck in the name of Joseph II. Very rare date.)"
This type is listed for 1773-88, all with very low mintages.
Recorded mintage: unknown but likely under a thousand.
