This specimen was lot 29852 in Heritage sale 3037 (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $1,468.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic 25 Centimes AN 15 (1818) MS65 NGC, Port au Prince mint. Gem Uncirculated with amazingly fresh appearance and very well struck. While not rare in circulated condition (Guttag noted 3 different dies, with his # 2084 being the one of the present piece), this type rarely appears in high grades. Easily the finest seen by the cataloguer and a truly wonderful type coin."
