This specimen was lot 24030 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (Newport Beach, CA, January 2021), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "HAITI. 2 Centimes, 1841 / Year 38. NGC VF Details--Environmental Damage. Variety with retrograde 4 in date. Despite the noted environmental issues, this example offers the interesting variant with a backwards 4 in the date." The 4 in question is rotated, not backwards. This type was struck An 25-28, 37-39 and An 38 is a scarce date. Many Haitian coins are dual dated; i.e., have the Common Era date (1841) and the years since independence (An 38). These are very variable in weight and diameter, suggesting crude and hurried striking conditions.
