Stack's Bowers 2021 NYINC sale, lot 22170

This specimen was lot 22170 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (Newport Beach, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $600. The catalog description[1] noted, "HAITI. 7 Sols 6 Deniers, 1809. Henri Christophe. NGC VF Details--Cleaned. Another highly collectable and desired three-year minor, this example emanates from the final year of the release and does exhibit some scattered marks and hairlines from the noted cleaning. Nevertheless, the detail is quite solid and the piece overall will undoubtedly attract eager collectors." This type was struck 1807-09 and is very rare in nice condition. Fifteen and thirty sols also exist, the thirty sols being very rare.
