This specimen was lot 33213 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "British Dependency 8 Doubles 1834 MS65 Red and Brown PCGS. A phenomenal exemplar with stunning red, nearly unblemished surfaces across which lustrous glow moves unimpeded. Although graded "RB," there is hardly any brown color to be seen on this piece." This issue was struck for Guernsey, one of the Channel Islands. It was struck again in 1858. Eight doubles = one British penny.

Recorded mintage: 222,000 + bronzed proofs.
