This specimen was lot 2669 in Steve Album Auction 52 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "GUBBIO: Papal State, AE quattrino, ND (Year II / 1677), Papal coat of arms with text // St. Peter standing with text around, tiny straight clip, F-VF." This type was struck in Gubbio during years II and III (1677-78). The Gubbio mint was used to produce most of the papal copper coinage of the Baroque period. This example has the obverse legend "INNOC· P·MAX·AN·II·"; others have "INNOC· AN·II·".
