This specimen was lot 82 in Aureo & Calicó sale 238 (Barcelona, November 2011), where it sold for 700 euro (about US$1,110 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"1793. Guatemala. M. 8 reales. Golpecitos. Bella. Parte de brillo original. Rara así. (EBC/EBC+). (eight reales of 1793, Guatemala mint, tiny rim nicks, nice original luster, rare, choice extremely fine.)"
This coin shows the standard bust of Charles IV as used throughout Latin America 1791-1808. This date is scarce but not rare like 1790-91.
