Provincial gold Off-Metal Specimen Stuiver 1765 SP64 PCGS. The only example at PCGS of this fleeting Off-Metal Stuiver, one of several strong showings of such Specimens in this sale. Glowing and meticulously rendered, truly exemplifying PCGS' near-Gem assessment. From the Coenen Collection." The stuiver struck for circulation (KM 55) was 0.81 g, 0.583 fine silver. It was made in 1738 and 1765 only. The denomination was struck in gold for presentation 1738 and 1765 and, being carefully saved, usually comes nice. These presentation pieces must have been quite popular as all the provinces made them, using a variety of small denominations.
