This specimen was lot 1319 in Stephen Album sale 47 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $1,200. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREECE: Othon, 1832-1862, AE 2 lepta, 1851, a lovely mint state example! PCGS graded MS63 BN." This type was struck in 1851 and 1857 and is scarce in nice condition. This example realized four times the catalog value. King Otto fell foul of the local politicians and was forced to abdicate in 1862.
