Stack's Bowers November 2025 Collectors Choice sale, part of lot 77605

This specimen was part of lot 77605 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), which sold for $125. The catalog description^[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Trio of Silver Life and Legacy of the Queen Proofs (3 Pieces), 2022. Llantrisant Mint. Charles III. PROOF. ASW: 2.08 oz. Each is housed in original case of issue with certificates of authenticity. 1) 5 Pounds. S-L132; KM-2198. 2) 2 Pounds. KM-2187. 3) 50 Pence. S-H114; KM-2165a." Other two pounds for 2022 included KM 1348, 2170, 2171, 2172, 2173, 2174, 2175, 2176, 2177, 2178, 2179, 2180, 2181, 2182, 2183, 2184, 2189, 2191, 2343, S-NB9, S-QB3, S-RS1, S-TBCSA1 and S-TBCSA2 (the Spink numbers refer to issues without KM numbers). Unlike the other denominations in the series, such as the fifty pence and five pounds, this silver format seems to have been the only one used.

Specification: 31.21 g, 0.999 fine silver, 38.6 mm diameter, reeded edge.
