Stack's Bowers 2026 NYINC sale, lot 47495

This specimen was lot 47495 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $504. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Silver 10 Pounds (5 Ounces), 2022. Llantrisant Mint. Elizabeth II. SUPERB GEM PROOF. British Monarch Series. Comes in original box and COA #220." The bust of Henry VII on the reverse is taken from the coinage of his time, such as this groat. The design was also used on gold 100 pounds (KM 2257), 200 pounds (KM 2274) and 500 pounds (KM 2297).

Recorded mintage: 281 plus 156 piedforts.

Specification: 156.3 g, 0.999 fine silver, 65 mm diameter, reeded edge, 5 troy oz silver, designed by Jody Clark. Piedfort is 312.6 g.
