This specimen was lot 75354 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for $65. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 1/2 Crown, 1959. London Mint. Elizabeth II. PCGS MS-65." This type of 1954-70 was the last half crown issued prior to decimalization. It did not fit into the new decimal system, being worth 12½ new pence, and was demonetized.

Recorded mintage: 9,029,000 plus a few proofs.

Specification: 14.14 g, copper-nickel, 32.3 mm diameter, reeded edge.
