This specimen was lot 33153 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $1,200. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V Penny 1919-H MS64 Red NGC, Heaton mint. A praiseworthy example with strong, satiny luster. This is currently the only "Red" example certified at NGC." The Heaton mint was not a branch mint but a private company that normally produced coinage on contract for various British colonies. During 1918-19, it pitched in and minted copper coinage for Great Britain.
Recorded mintage: 4,526,000 (including the King's Norton mint production).
