This specimen was lot 994 in UBS sale 84 (Basel, January 2010). The catalog description[1] noted, "GROSSBRITANNIEN. Edward VII. 1901-1910. Sixpence 1909. Fast FDC (Great Britain, Edward VII, 1901-10, sixpence of 1909, nice Uncirculated)." This type was struck 1902-10. Unlike the larger silver denominations which were modernized, the reverse design carries over from Victorian issues.

Specification: 2.82 g, 0.925 fine silver, .089 troy oz ASW, 19.5 mm diameter, this specimen: 2.84 grams.
